Mary is very kind, very helpful, always offers assistance to other nurses who are busy and are overwhelmed. Safety is always her priority with all of her patients and she is always smiling.

I nominate Mary because of her excellence in pediatric nursing. I look forward to working a shift with Mary, the Charge Nurse. I know that no matter how crazy it may be, we are going to have a good shift. Mary has an amazing sense of humor which, in a way, serves as a therapy for some of our patients. We had a child patient with cancer that loved when Mary would come in to sing him silly songs. He'd yell and we could hear him down the hallway, asking the nurse to come back to sing another song. Mary is the Charge Nurse to emulate because she's aware of everything that is going on and the minute one needs help, she'll be there by one's side. I'm so grateful to work alongside such an incredible nurse.
