Thus, in all the endeavors Mary Pat has undertaken, she has had not just the patients in mind, but the department and its staff. She often reminds others of our department’s strength and capability, ensures that our staff is not overburdened or burned out, and advocates for all. We also enjoy her beautiful smile, her quirky laughter, and being a doting wife, mother, and grandma. Every year we look forward to the St. Patrick’s Day luncheon she cooks for us, her Pre-Admission Testing Family. She is a fitting example of our hospital and nursing values, and I am honored to work beside her.
