Mary Pettit, RN

My dad was admitted to the hospital for an unknown health issue that left him with loss of movement, high fever, breathing difficulties, etc. Nurse Mary went above and beyond, recognizing my dad needed extra help. She went to her nurse leader and reported she needed further assistance and called for a Rapid Response team when my dad's breathing worsened. Dad was so ill he was transferred to ICU. This would not have happened without Mary's caring enough to help. She was kind to me and my daughter during the hardest week of our lives, watching my father slip away, it seemed. I truly believe that Mary saved my dad's life. She will always be in my heart, and I will always be thankful for her.
