Mary has a very distinguished career of 40 years of clinical practice.
Mary Randleman graduated from Fairview Hospital from the three-year Diploma Nursing program in 1976. She went on to obtain her BSN at Minnesota State University in 2008 BSN, and her MSN from Regis University Denver Colorado and a Post Graduate Certificate (Master’s Program) for Health Care Educator in 2012.
She has worked in a variety of settings during the years that followed graduation. She has worked in GYN/Urology, Intensive Care nursing, the majority of her professional career has been in the mental health arena.
Demonstrates a distinguished career in clinical practice, administration, education, and/or research that promotes a positive image of professional nursing.
Mary has a very distinguished career of 40 years of clinical practice. When working in RRTP during 2009-2013 she was involved in a research project that examined pain assessment tools being used within the St. Cloud VA and the research group published two articles from this study. Both were studies conducted at the St. Cloud Veterans Health Care System in the Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (RRTP) the studies focus was on Pain Management and Addiction. These were completed circa 2012.
Mary was also instrumental in securing three Registered Nurse (RN) positions in RRTP. She recognized the Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) were practicing at the top of their scope but also noticed the need for RN's on the unit to ensure oversight of the RRTP population.
Mary has been an active member of the American Psychiatric Nursing Association since 2008 and Sigma Theta Tau International since 2002. She is a member of an Advocacy group within the APNA for the past 3 years. She is also an active member of the Anoka County Medical Reserve Corp since its development following 911 participating and assisting the community in emergency preparedness.
Mary's nursing roles have varied; from staff nurse, to Charge Nurse, to educator to Assistant Director of Nursing, to Nursing Supervisor, Staff Development Educator and Coordinator, she is very well versed in the Nursing profession!
