mary raney, RN, PNP/NNP

I would like to recognize Mary Raney in her efforts to educate our enormous staff. Mary gave 18-1 hour lectures this month to our NICU staff and hit 144 nurses, APN's and PCT's. Mary gave a lecture on the Pressure Ulcer Initiative. This was a house wide initiative but she did much research to mold it to our population, finding a scoring tool that would most benefit our population and be simple for our staff to utilize.
She did such a wonderful job of getting "buy-in" from our bedside nurses that she had over 20 volunteers to join her to start a wound care team. I think this is testimony to her passion to do what's best and right for our babies.
