Mary Terrinoni made special arrangements to allow patients to speak to their families.
During the COVID pandemic, visitors where restricted from entering the hospitals and being with their loved ones during some of the most intense moments in their lives. Although family member were unable to sit at their loved one’s bedside, nurses such as Mary Terrinoni made special arrangements to allow patients to speak to their families. Making the family an important part of the patients’ care team.
Ms. Terrinoni was nominated by a patient’s family member who was overwhelmed with her kindness and extraordinary care. Ms. Terrinoni’ s genuine compassion shined as she provided comfort and care to not only her patients in the intensive care unit, but also to their families during one of the most difficult times in their lives.
