Mary Tiberg is profoundly dedicated to her students, embodying a commitment that goes well beyond the traditional role of an educator and nurse. She makes it her mission to ensure that each student not only feels educated but also empowered them to embrace their own learning journey.
Her enthusiasm for teaching and for her students' success is palpable. She understands that each success contributes to her students' confidence and motivates them to strive for even greater heights. She recognizes that education is not just about academics; it also encompasses emotional growth.
In every interaction, she fosters an environment of trust and understanding, making her an invaluable mentor to so many nurses and a cherished figure in the lives of her students and patients. This is not her first award. She has previously been awarded the U Chicago Medicine Nurse of the Year, the U Chicago Fellowship Award, the American Liver Foundation's Journey Award, and the Department of the Navy's Meritorious Civilian Service Medal. We are so proud and grateful to have had the privilege to work with and learn from Dr. Mary Tiberg.
