Mary Wilstrup, MSN, RN, PCNS-BC, WCC, OMS

Mary is a wound care nurse in the PICU, but she is much more than that to the staff and family members. Working in PICU, you have to really be prepared for what you see on a daily basis, and you have to expect the unexpected. I have seen Mary in emergency situations where she has worked right next to the other nurses, doctors, and everyone in a code or rapid situation. Mary has helped us ward clerks get a break and answer phones, and she even admits our patients for us if we are not available. I have also seen Mary be an advocate for her burn patients.
