Mary has cared for me as a dialysis nurse for the past 10 years since my kidneys failed at age 19. She is a caring, loving individual, who never fails to go above and beyond for each of her patients. In the time I have known her she has always been able to reassure me, keep me well informed about my medical orders and treatments and always is able to cheer me up with her sense of humor and love of her job. She has seen me through a kidney transplant and rejection as well as a pregnancy on dialysis. She even, along with the other nurses on her unit, organized a baby shower for me and my newborn at the time. She is the epitome of a compassionate nurse and I am grateful for knowing her. Without her care, I would not be alive today to thank her.
