My mom was ill in St. Joes for two weeks before her death. Her care was extensive and hopeful, but despite all efforts she succumbed. One procedure she underwent was a bronchoscopy, which in her state was traumatic and painful. Mary was at my mother's side feeding her ice, making her as comfortable as possible, so very calm and respectful of my mom.
She is an exceptional nurse and I can say that with conviction because two weeks later, after my mom's death, she also cared for my daughter who had back surgery and was terrified. Mary managed her care, helped with her pain, kept her warm and was just wonderful.
It would be anyone's blessing to be cared for by Mary. Mary is beyond what one expects and can only hope for in a fantastic nurse.
