My daughter was in Banner Hospital last week with cirrhosis of the liver. Nurse Maryam took excellent care of her through a very difficult time for our family. She was a godsend to all for us. She prayed for my daughter and I at my most difficult time. An incident with a family member of mine, could and should have annoyed her but it did not. She remained calm pleasant and helpful through it all. I really hope that Nurse Maryam gets the DAISY Award because she truly deserves it. She definitely chose the right profession to be in. My daughter is doing better. All the medical staff at 4W were very caring and helpful. We appreciate you all.

Over the course of 5 months, I have been hospitalized 3x at 3 different hospitals in Tucson, I want to commend Maryam’s outstanding care and compassion. She attends to patients tirelessly and provides NEEDED info, while assuring them. Maryam is a patient advocate like no other. I am truly amazed at the difference a nurse with compassion, drive and empathy for her charges makes. I want to nominate Maryam for the DAISY Award. She went above and beyond advocating and providing extraordinary care to me and the numerous patients in Bed 2 during my weeklong starry. Thank you, Maryam, for your understanding. I so greatly appreciate the care you provided. Your thoughtfulness made my day less dreary and your encouragement enabled me to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Maryam is a wonderful nurse. She says she’s just doing her job, but the love, compassion, and attentiveness allows her to go far beyond just doing her job. The way she cares for our daughter and cares for the family makes hard times like those so much more bearable. People like Maryam is what is needed in the health care system.
