My husband has been in Beaumont since Wednesday night checked out came back with a nose bleed. It wasn't stopping and bled for two days. Nobody could stop the bleeding not even ENT doctor. The ice on the nose wasn't working. My husband started to bleed from his eyes, his mouth, and his nose, and I lost it. Every nurse on the floor was in his room doing what they could, but nobody could stop it or know what to do at this point. You could feel and see the fear in everyone face that day. Once Maryann came into the room, she immediately pointed out what was wrong and took charge calming the room. She became a teacher to all the nurses. She went and instantly got two bags of ice and placed at the top of my husband's head almost on his forehead. The other went on the back of his neck and within minutes the bleeding began to slow down, something that hadn't happened in a while. Next thing you know the bleeding just stopped. She never stopped checking on him even if the bleeding was back or not. He's been here since Thursday and we still see her and she still comes by to see him and to check on him even when she's on her way out the door to go home. Words can't explain how I feel.
