From day one of becoming our manager Maryanne treats her staff like family. She is present throughout the day on the units, helping as needed. She has an open door policy and encourages her staff to come to her with any problems, ideas, concerns, or just to chat. We have made several changes with her help to increase satisfaction and to make procedural changes to make the unit to improve outcomes in nurse sensitive indicators. Maryanne McCarrin is an amazing manager, a great friend to the staff, and an all-around awesome human being.

Maryanne is our nurse manager on the neuro ICU at JHN. She not only is a great leader, but she is constantly making sure that her nurses have the tools they need to succeed and supports us on a daily basis. She is always within a call if needed and she does her best to check in with everyone to see how they are doing. Maryanne is the gold standard for what a nurse manager should be.
