MaryBeth Debrito is the Program Manager of Nurse Community Care Coordination (NCCC), Monmouth & Ocean County Council for Young Children (CCYC), Family Advocate (FA), Monmouth ACTS Navigation at The Children and Family Health Institute (CFHI). Over the last 11 months, I have had the pleasure to collaborate with her on establishing care for many patients in the FFHC. She works with School nurses, agencies, and other healthcare workers to find solutions to barriers to care for the most vulnerable and, at times, overlooked people in the community.

One of the most memorable ways she has helped was connecting a child who was in need of further medical treatment. The school nurse brought it to her attention and she connected the family to our clinic as well as assisted with finding more affordable medications. This is one of many scenarios we’ve encountered on a daily and weekly basis. She educates her colleagues and the community about the resources available and will look for solutions if she doesn’t have the answer.
