Marybeth Bangs was my daughter's nurse. My daughter came into the Emergency Department because she was dehydrated and due to a cyst on her neck. The doctor did an ultrasound to look at the cyst. But were hasten to stick her as she is a hard stick. Marybeth really listened to me as her mother. Marybeth did everything that the doctors stated for treatment. She also sat with my daughter one-on-one and got her to drink a whole Gatorade. Marybeth sang to her with songs from the Disney Junior. She made my daughter feel important. Marybeth had requested an iPad for her for the ultrasound to make it easier for my daughter. Marybeth was able to communicate with my daughter and understand what she wanted as we were hydrating her. I felt that we were in excellent hands with her. We were discharged and awaiting our paperwork and her shift ended and Marybeth came by to tell us she was leaving and was glad to see we were being discharged
and that my daughter was doing better. Marybeth has the best easy-going personality for the kids and also the parents. It relaxed me as a parent who was very concerned for her child. Almost a month later I don't forget her caring and compassion for us. Marybeth is an excellent nurse and more nurses need to take her lead. We were lucky to have her be our nurse that day.
