Emmy has shown so much compassion and empathy with her patients. She connects with patients on a level that they feel welcomed, so they come back and share things with her. There was a patient who came in for an exam and in order to make her feel at ease, she shared about her dog to distract her from her anxiety. The patient then came in to show Emmy a picture of her pets. She goes above and beyond what she has to do. She walks patients to their cars, brings them snacks, offers coffee. Anything to make the patient at ease. She consistently shows so much love and compassion to all her patients by listening and caring just as she would with her own family. At Great South Bay, we value her dearly because there is no other nurse as empathetic as she is.
