Maryem is so empathetic. We enjoyed her service for over 2 weeks now since admission. She tried very hard to understand xxx who has dementia and many other conditions. She didn't take it personally when xxx shouted at her and insulted her while attending to her. She has been pleading with her to take medicine which is a bit difficult as she doesn't like the bitter or sour tastes. She never looked at her as stubborn. During my stay in the hospital, I never reminded her to change her diapers as she knows her duties and did it with compassion without complaining a number of times even during almost shift changes.

Maryem, God bless you. I believe you have a calling. You are very kind-hearted and I nominate you as the best nurse in Tawam hospital. You deserve it because you have won our hearts through your devotion. Whenever the oxygen alarm will beep, you will tirelessly come fast to check. This gave us hope that we are in good hands and today we are going home. We feel honored to be served by you. Whenever xxx will shout that she wanted to go home, you made her feel at home. When she refuses to eat, you joke with her to eat quickly as the taxi is waiting for her to bring her home, and she would then eat. She has memorized your name and she will shout your name for assistance not knowing you were off-duty. I feel that you deserve to be recognized. You are a nurse hero. God bless you abundantly.
