Our son has a severely broken leg, which required surgery. Mason worked the floor on the second day we were in the hospital. The pain was not being well managed and the night before Mason came on duty was particularly bad. Mason jumped in immediately speaking to the doctors to work out a better pain management plan. He added anti-inflammatories and never pain meds. These added meds started helping ASAP and worked so well that they were able to stop the morphine as well.

Once the pain began to be managed Mason then stayed on top of the meds. We never once had to call for more meds. My son was able to finally get rest for the first time in two days. Additionally, Mason continued to check on my son and us to see if we needed anything. He explained everything he was doing and everything he was asking the doctors so there was no guesswork on our side. He even talked to the night nurse about staying on top of meds for us also. His demeanor and attitude were amazing, friendly, and empathetic. His hard work and attitude showed he really cared. Thank you, Mason!
