Everything about this nurse speaks guardian angel. I had a set of twins in the NICU and it was a pleasure to have come across plenty of good nurses but this one stood out. She would be so gentle and loving, she would talk to my babies and also give good advice. One of my babies had 4 brain surgeries during her stay and she always wanted to take care of her during her recovery process. It was a blessing because it was like my baby looked for her when she was around; I told her she was her angel and I was pleased with her care. I used to say kid-tested, mother approved. She is a wonderful asset to the NICU at University Hospital.

When one of the twins was discharged from the NICU and I had to split my time I always felt safe leaving my baby because I knew she was there. All of the nurses were good, and I didn’t have any major complaints but this nurse just was awesome; she just knew what to do and how to care for my baby and always kept me updated and involved and let me know my voice matters. I nominate Masouheh Carlstrom, in my heart she’s my hero.
