Masue David-Tonny, BSN, RN

First, I would like to say I have been to this hospital on a number of occasions and know that it is the best hospital I have visited. Masue is one of the kindest, most understanding, professional women in this field and has been an honor and great pleasure to be a patient of hers.  When she arrives at work, she brings a smile that would make a light that warms the soul of her patients and staff.  Thank you Masue for not only being a wonderful and professional and in my opinion One of the most outstanding RNs in the business, but a great friend.

The very first day I met Masue as my nurse, she always had a smile and positive energy, and even though I was in so much pain, she made me smile, laugh, and look at the positive side. 

This was my first hospital stay alone, but having her as a nurse, I did not once feel alone.  Anytime I needed anything, she was always right there, and that brought me comfort and made my stay less lonesome and sad.

It didn’t matter the time I needed assistance; she would always come in with a smile and ready to help me, and it’s hard for me to ask for help “because I like doing things on my own”.  When she was there for me, I felt like it was OK to ask for help when needed. 

Small conversations mean a lot to someone who’s lonely and not feeling 100% themselves.  What made her different from other nurses is the pride and compassion she has for her patients and line of work, the positive energy that she passes on, and a smile that is contagious.
