A mother I knew well lost her 3-week-old baby; I provided emotional support during the initial parental shock. Hours later, sad and exhausted, I was going to skip getting plaster of the baby’s hands or footprints as the coroner and mortuary were waiting. Mat did not let that happen, he mixed that plaster, and we got those prints for the family, and everyone had to wait as he secured something tangible for this family. He did not let me drop the ball, he came in and made all the difference for them and me. Thank you, Mat.
