Matha Valdaise, RN

Recently, Sinai Hospital team member Matha Valdaise, RN, received two heartfelt nominations this quarter from her patients. Matha has been employed in the Oncology Unit (B6) for the past 15 months, and she has received a total of 9 DAISY nominations since she began her employment there. Matha is known for delivering compassionate care to her patients and going the extra mile to promote a healing environment. One nomination from a patient this summer stated, “Matha was my voice when I lost it, she held my hand when I was lonely, and she protected me and spoke up for me. Matha was my best friend here. I owe her forever, and I love her.”
