Matisse is the perfect example of what a healthcare provider should be and the perfect example of how to treat your patients. Matisse consistently treated me like she truly cared. She went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable, my pain was being properly managed, and I had the proper supplies I needed.

When I had questions, she had respectful answers. Since my admission, I had reported that the medication I was receiving was not helping the pain. Instead of continuing to give me the same medication, Matisse looked for a solution and suggested a different medication that would target my pain. Matisse is what a nurse should be. She is involved with the patient, is involved with the treatment plan, and makes suggestions for better care plans. Due to Matisse's insight and active role in my care, I was able to be discharged sooner than I would have been.

When I was discharged, Matisse thoroughly explained all medications and their side effects. She even went over the most important ones twice and ensured I understood. The hospital is lucky to have Matisse, and I am very grateful I was blessed enough to have her as my nurse.
