Matthew Baldigo, RN

Matthew is that student you want taking care of you, or the person you love the most. He takes the time to get to know his patients, listening to them share their stories, and making them feel respected and cared about while being cared for. His patients often complimented the care they received from him. One patient told me she “wanted to take him home” because of how he made her feel. He has the ability to make his patients feel like they are family. To quote Maya Angelou, “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” Matthew is that nurse who will remain in the hearts of the patients he is fortunate to care for because of this gift. Matthew’s clinical skills and confidence have also improved during his time at the College and I am so very proud of the nurse he is becoming.
