I have been in NCH for nearly 2 weeks. The reason I was admitted is kidney failure. I am about 2 weeks into the reality of kidney dialysis life. I need real info on actual questions about the life I am now in. Matt's humor has helped. His frequent biased opinions, have opened my mind to the questions I have been turning a blind man's eye to. This has allowed me to begin the process of not only accepting my reality, but most importantly, figuring out a real game plan for the rest of my life. I haven't had a real game plan for my diabetic life, which began in 1990.
Matt's experience, which I know a little bit about, eases my angst. Just the simple fact that this is an ordeal he has had real experiences with, is huge to me. However, the person that Matt is, at least the person I met, is wonderful. And, for me to say that about any medical person blows my mind. I have never been put at ease as quickly and easily when dealing with medical personnel.
I hope you all understand how blessed this typically non-compliant patient feels to have had, Matt as my nurse this evening. Thank you, and I do hope you all know how happy you should feel having Matt as one of your best staff members.
He opened me up to questions I knew I had, but did not know how to ask. I do feel as though I met one of my guardian angels tonight. I feel very emphatic that you know how my life has been touched on a Tuesday, by a guy who was simply just doing his job. Thank you for allowing me to have Matt Bombace as my nurse.
