He is compassionate, caring, professional, and thoroughly knowledgeable of his craft...What stood out most was the fact that he put his patients first. I believe he missed many lunches due to patient care (by choice). When I was at my lowest, in such deep pain, and very scared, he sat with me, held my hand, and comforted me. He was not stingy with his hugs. The way Matt helped to educate me about my condition, treatment, and the workings of the hospital, along with his deep concern and compassion, made my stay easier. I think of him often as I recover from my ordeal. In my opinion, he is one of the finest nurses. Any patient he touches will be better for it.
