My wife and I were "working out" at the YMCA when I suddenly passed out on the bike machine. Within 30 seconds I started receiving CPR initiated by Y staff. Matt Dougherty was nearby and reacted promptly to continue CPR while the Y staff got the AED. Matt performed vigorous CPR for at least 5 minutes until the paramedics arrived. His prompt and professional reaction to this great need Saved My Life. My personal meeting, a few days later at MMC, allowed me to express my heartfelt thanks to Matt. His willingness to respond to my great need was Heroic. I will forever be grateful! A big thanks to Matt and others who cared enough to act coupled with the MMC Team has allowed me to continue my quality of life for years to come.
