Matt was just what my dad needed- happy, fun, positive, and most importantly he was reliable. Sometimes nurses have the best of intentions but get sidetracked-myself included. Each time my dad requested something, Matt would come in the room and tell my dad he would be right back with whatever it was he needed, and he did it every time. Within minutes. This is so important when you are a patient. Especially in my dad's case because he has the beginning stages of dementia. Each time Matt left the room, my dad would say, "Now that little boy is good-he always comes through for me". Wow! What a relief for this family knowing your loved one is being left in good hands. Personally, my favorite part about Matt is his personality! He brought pure joy to my family and me. Matt is the perfect example of what a nurse should be.
