I came into the hospital due to spine and neck pain. I was evaluated by Dr. W and he ordered an MRI. I was wheeled into the MRI room and the MRI tech gave me contrast as ordered. I developed an allergic reaction to the contrast and coded in the MRI room. She immediately called for help and Matt Morris rushed in to help and was with me the whole time. He even lifted me from the MRI bed to the stretcher and took me to another room to evaluate me. I can remember hearing him say "(name), I'm with you, please stay with us".
Also he informed the other staff "She is one of our employees, and let's take good care of her". I could feel his touch and his calming voice which made me feel at ease. I think he is such an amazing nurse and his compassion for his patients was seen through his touch, communication and skills.
Matt continues to this day to check on me to see how I'm doing and gives me hugs and states that he is glad to see that I'm back at work and doing better. My husband would like to thank him for being so compassionate toward me and he feels like Matt saved my life too.
