My adult son was in a very serious mountain biking accident. His spine required the surgery fusion of several vertebrae. Additionally, he had numerous broken ribs and sternum. Needless to say, he was in excruciating pain. His attending nurse, Matt, was a Godsend. He went above and beyond in order to make my son comfortable. He was proactive and popped into the room often to see if any of us needed anything.

This was a particularly difficult time as my son and his wife had just had a baby two weeks earlier. So, we were spending 12-hour days in the hospital room with a newborn so that this new family could bond and be together. During this process, Matt showed so much caring and personal interest in our well-being. Besides his expertise and skill in tending to my son, he offered a calm and positive outlook during stressful situations. He is an incredible nurse and human being. Our entire family felt blessed by his presence, and we were relieved when he was on duty.

Please honor him for the stellar way he performs his job. We hated to say goodbye to Matt and would have liked to take him with us when we left the hospital. Many, many thanks to you Matt.
