On more than one occasion I have witnessed Matt go above and beyond his scope of duties. When he encountered several restless, boisterous patients, for instance, he took the time to have one of them sit right next to him, engaging in conversation. At another time, he proceeded to take the other, an elderly patient, around the unit. He talked to her as he pushed her; easing her agitation and comforting her.
Not only is he very kind, but his skills constantly improve. Matt is very easy going, and can lead with a smile. He is eager to learn new knowledge and truly applies what he learns so he can better manage our patients and their care. He has an appealing way about him and his wonderful bedside manner is appreciated by all.
