Having been diagnosed with breast cancer a year ago, I have had 4 hospital stays in the last year with the mastectomy and reconstruction process. It was clear immediately that Matthew is a superior nurse in his skills and also in his care and concern for both the patient and family members during a stressful time. I immediately felt not only at ease, but truly safe in his care. He was attentive and caring, paying attention to detail. My husband and I also greatly enjoyed his sense of humor. From going above and beyond on simple tasks such as ordering our meals for us to truly listening and passing on information to the following shift on my concerns over medications and recovery, he excelled in every aspect of patient care. There are some people that truly stand out above the rest, and I am very thankful that Matt was there for my family and to help us heal.
