Matthew Reves, RN, BSN

A patient came in thinking he would have a surgical procedure, but found out on the day of his procedure that he had blood clots in his legs and lungs. The following day, he learned that he would not survive his illness. Matthew Reves was the patient's favorite Nurse, and after several visits to the ICU, I understood why. Matthew is efficient and caring. He took time to listen to the patient and his wife and did everything he could to make them comfortable during the patient's final days. He went out of his way to provide great care, extra blankets, a chair so that his wife could sit closely. He updated the patient's care with kindness in his voice and eyes, and even made sure his loved we were comfortable on the many times we visited.
