October 2020 Honoree
matthew tedeschi, RN
My mom had hip surgery and she has dementia. Matt has been her nurse and she brightens up when he comes in. Matt has been very helpful and he shows great compassion for my mom. He explains what he is doing and if we ask questions, he gives us the answers. I know that when he talks to my mom, he is gentle and sincere. No one likes to be in the hospital, but Matt has made it so my mom smiles. He is a ray of sunshine in a difficult time. I am very thankful for his help with my mom. He was always there when we needed more blankets or to help mom move in bed.
***
Matt is a well-spoken, knowledgeable, and caring nurse. There is not one instance to pinpoint with him because all times are unremarkable. He always handles his patient caseload very smoothly. He is very personable with his patients and explains their care in a very understanding and sweet way. He is very respectable to all staff and patients and is a great team player. He keeps the patients' best interests in mind and embodies the Kaiser culture and experience of excellence.
