March 2023 Honoree
Matthew Teel, BSN, RN
Matthew took exceptional care of my dad in the ER. My siblings and I took up a lot of space and he was so accommodating and kind. He worked quickly and efficiently. There may have not been a “life-saving” measure per se, but he treated my dad with dignity and compassion, which isn’t always so common. He responded to my questions and kept me in the loop; even remembering my name. As a fellow RN, I know how taxing work can be, and remembering your patient's name is sometimes all you can do. He worked swiftly and didn’t allow my dad's past medical history to change or affect his perception or the care provided. It’s been an excruciatingly long day, but I’m thankful for Matthew and his time with us before Dad went to the ICU. Thank you so much, Matthew!
Thank you, Matthew, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
