I was a mastectomy patient on the third floor, and I was cared for during my first night by Matt. He was truly incredible.
He was attentive, kind, and genuinely compassionate, and he made me feel so comfortable during one of the hardest days of my life, my first day after a double mastectomy. His willingness to help with even the smallest things, like plugging in my phone charger, fixing my hair tie when I couldn’t lift my arms, or helping me get up to use the bathroom, meant more to me than he probably realized.
Matt is an amazing nurse, and I deeply appreciate the care, patience, and humanity he showed me. I’m so grateful for everything he did. I will be forever grateful.
