Everything Mattie has done has been compassionate. She is consistently patient and kind even though she is juggling the care of four patients. Mattie repeatedly caressed my father's hair and shoulder making him feel loved and important. She repeatedly asked if we, along with my father, were ok and had everything we needed. Mattie utilized the nurses in training to help care for my father. She regularly shared information from the doctors with the family and valued our observations and questions. Mattie was always respectful of my father and the family. She regularly asked my father how he was doing and asked permission to provide care. She would call to update my mother even though she was not asked to provide an update. Mattie was very concerned about quality care and she was consistently thorough. Even though she was clearly busy, she was always even-tempered and upbeat. She was cognizant of the family's concerns. Thank you, Mattie!
