Maureen was absolutely wonderful. My daughter has always been a very healthy child, but recently has received a diagnosis that has caused her to have numerous hospital visits and tests. Her biggest fear in life is going to the doctor. She is petrified of shots...I was extremely worried about how she would react to having an IV and blood draws every half hour for an entire day. Maureen's warm and calming demeanor put her at ease from the very beginning. She used humor and was attentive to her throughout the day. She is gifted in being able to form a caring relationship with a child that she had never met. Even as the medication began to make her very sick, Maureen's constant presence made her feel better. She told me numerous times throughout the day how good "nurse Maureen" was...You have an angel in Maureen Bachert. St. Luke's and the patients you serve are very fortunate to have her on staff.
