While a patient was on comfort care, Maureen was very supportive to the family. She spent time answering their questions, checking on them, and always was available should they need her. Maureen is proactive, not reactive. Her calm demeanor is encouraging to patients, families, and co-workers. She stands out to me as I observe her going the extra mile, giving the extra time to each patient. It's obvious nursing is her passion.

A husband, friend, and uncle to this family was on his dying bed. Maureen made everyone very comfortable with her assurance and compassion toward everyone; answering all our questions with deep respect for all. She must love her position because she can put everyone at ease and feel so comfortable.

I was in the hospital about four days. We were treated very well by all staff but Maureen was exceptional. She made sure I was comfortable and my needs were met. Her smiling face an upbeat attitude would cheer anyone up. She was also very professional when my family came to visit. She treated them very kindly and even made sure my little great grandchildren had ice cream. She is one special nurse. St. James is lucky to have her one your staff. Maureen made my stay a whole lot better than it would have been.
