Maureen Waple, BSN, RN

Maureen has been a nurse here at Old Bridge Medical Center for the past 28 years. She deserves this award because she shows strength and determination when faced with difficult situations. Many times she has been in challenging situations and has shown amazing leadership skills. She shows dedication to make sure staffing is adequate to ensure patient safety as well as patient satisfaction. This is the biggest challenge that she is facing right now, and she is working with the staff to make the schedule work . She is always working with the staff to ensure that our skills are up to date, advocating for new equipment and making sure we are properly trained. Maureen creates an environment of trust and respect for all the staff. She welcomes new team members and makes them feel comfortable in new surroundings. She celebrates the staff’s achievements and encourages them to get their certification and advanced degrees. Maureen makes coming to work a pleasant day, and she always jumps in to help out when the shift gets busy, always lending a helping hand. Maureen shows dedication and compassion towards her ICU staff and the patients.
