The day that I was diagnosed with MS, I had no clue what was happening. All I knew was that I was scared and that something was wrong. I immediately knew Maya was there for me. She made me feel comfortable and tried to help me know that I was going to be okay. She spent her extra time walking with me to get a coffee and go outside to get my mind off things. She made sure to make me still feel like a 17-year-old girl. This was my first experience in a hospital or with anything like this. I was completely healthy a week ago. But she made me comfortable, and I knew I was going to be okay. I will forever be grateful for her and her kindness. She is a great nurse.
