My nurse, Maya, has been with me all three nights I have been here at the Walt Disney children's hospital. I really appreciate her passion for Pediatrics and how compassionate and caring she is when doing simple things like taking my vitals or helping me through my extreme fear of needles which, as you would guess, does not go well when you're in a hospital. 

Maya not only goes the extra mile to make my hospital stay as painless and comfortable as possible, but she also makes it fun. She would tell me about her hikes to places like the Grand Canyon while getting bloodwork and talk about the frog light on her stethoscope that she tried labeling in Spanish, but ended up calling it "kitchen, kitchen". When I would have some extreme pain, a normal nurse would get medication and record it. But Maya, she would stay there until it would start to get better and tell me what she was doing the whole time so I wasn't wondering if I would get my blood pressure taken or my blood literally taken.

I am so thankful that I had her and as well as the other nurses to take care of me, I could have not recovered as quickly as I am without them. Thank you, AdventHealth, for giving me the best nurses and doctors I could have asked for. I love you guys! P.S. the ice cream is really good. :)
