We had a sudden death in the emergency department and a large number of family members arrived in the department who were understandably extremely upset. Mayada spent two hours with them, comforting them in their time of need and calmly explaining the process in order that they knew what was happening. Dealing with such an emotional situation can't have been easy for her, but Mayada remained professional throughout, whilst also showing empathy and kindness. I am proud to have Mayada on my team. She is an outstanding role model for us all to aspire to and her compassion and dedication are commendable.
