The professionalism, care, communication, and friendliness I found during my recent stay were amazing. Everyone from housekeeping, food service, nurses, aides, Doctors were absolutely wonderful. I am truly grateful and blessed to have had such care. There is one nurse that constantly stood out. Mayra Arias. I found Mayra to be genuine and caring. She always made me feel safe, secure, and never rushed. All of my questions were answered with confidence. She was working with a new nurse and I had the joy of listening to her explain and show her protocol at Duke. Mayra is a wonderful nurse and a good teacher! To give you an example: Heart monitor: Snow over grass, smoke over fire and the bear in the middle ... l even learned something.
