..."Nurse Mayra was an angel from God. She realized I was on my way to a massive heart attack and she did everything in her power to take care of me and save my life. Because of her I am celebrating life with my wife of 34 years."
I called and spoke to the patient's wife. She stated she was with her husband the whole time and feels the same way her husband feels toward Mayra. She stated
"We were admitted from the emergency room and Mayra was our nurse when we got to the floor. She was very nice and caring. My husband had some pain in his chest and was short of breath. We were very afraid of what was going to happen. Mayra saved my husband's life. He would not be here if it was not for her fast actions and knowing what to do for my husband during his heart attack. She was awesome, informative, and kept us comfortable during a very scary time. It has been a month since we were in the hospital. The Doctor told us my husband is doing so much better than he expected and I contribute that to Mayra's nursing sills and decisions she made that day. We are forever grateful to her."
