McKayla Braun 2, BSN, RN

Nurse McKayla is so special for a few reasons. Our daughter had bariatric surgery. She was the first adolescent in Orlando and AdventHealth to get this procedure. From day one up until she was sent home, nurse McKayla made sure she was well attended to. She made sure that our daughter felt welcomed, and she was very knowledgeable. I've never met such a compassionate and caring nurse as nurse McKayla. Her bedside manner was impeccable, and we felt very confident in her skills. She made our stay manageable and always checked in on us to make sure that we were okay as the parents. Honestly, we didn't feel like a number. She made our daughter feel special and even made her laugh - LOL! McKayla deserves to be 'shouted out' because I would recommend my family and friends to this hospital and the pediatric unit, and it is all because of nurse McKayla's BIG heart and passion for her patients!! All the best!
