My 3-week-old baby was admitted due to a fever. My husband and I were already satisfied with all the care we were receiving from all the staff, but there's one nurse for whom we will be forever grateful. She's the only one who offered to sterilize our baby's bottles. This is just maybe a simple thing for others, but to parents with a sick child, this showed that she really cares for the welfare of our child.

Also, when she noticed that we were worried about what will be the next course of action of our doctors, she even shared her experience with this Doctor, which made us feel better and trust our healthcare providers more. We are Nurses ourselves, and we certainly know that our shift could and even without this extra stuff for our patients, but she went beyond what is expected. We really felt that we were genuinely being taken care of and not just another patient assignment.
