September 2025 Honoree
Mckenna Martin, RN
I cannot express enough the extra love and time Mckenna gave to my beautiful Mother and our family. I do not think I can remember everything she had done, but I want to share a couple of things that made this impossible time a little easier.
Mckenna took bathing her many steps further. She gave my mother her last spa day – bathed her, washed her hair, and braided it. The extra love and care she provided is beyond words.
She gave the grandchildren hand-crocheted “Worry Worms” that her grandmother made. She had made 4 bottles for my siblings and me. They were cleaned bottles that were used on my mother, and she put a copy of her heartbeat with a ribbon.
These are just a few of the most amazing steps Mckenna took to go so far above being her nurse. We will forever be grateful for the care Mckenna provided. Mckenna, thank you. You were one of the angels to help get us through. On behalf of my entire family, we love you and thank you. God bless you.
