She was the first nurse I had when I started my first round of chemotherapy, and her sweet, kind, and overall bubbly demeanor definitely made me feel better and made my stay a lot less gloomy. She did more than her nursing duties, and while she cared for me, she shared some funny stories and made me feel good about myself as a patient. Even for my second cycle of chemo, she has not faltered in making me feel better, and although I’d prefer to be home, seeing her there again and having her take care of me made me feel better. In conclusion, I would like to nominate my nurse, McKenzi, for her outstanding work and her drive to go above and beyond just going to work.
