Mckenzie Blake, RN, BSN

Mckenzie was the charge nurse on shift while one of our work family members was hospitalized. It was a very difficult time for the patient and family as she transitioned to hospice care. During her shift, Mckenzie went out of her way to ensure she was cared for with compassion and understanding. She made sure to include the family and friends in the room and explained every step and the why behind it. Although Mckenzie was not the primary nurse, she saw the need and stepped in without hesitation. She demonstrated exceptional compassion and reassurance to the patient and their loved ones during this delicate and challenging time. Mckenzie's presence truly was a blessing, and it's obvious nursing is her calling.
